Design for Dimple Forming
Design for the die and the material.
Dimple Diameter
Standard dies: #6, #8, #10, 1/4". Custom sizes need a new die — adds lead time.
Clearance
Keep dimples ≥ 2× material thickness from any edge, hole or bend line.
Thickness Limit
Dimple forming works best up to 2 mm. Thicker sheets may crack or require annealing.
